CE that counts in New York

For New York license renewal, your CE has to come from a provider approved by NYSED — national approvals don't transfer. Therapy Row builds courses to New York's rules from the start, taught by licensed clinicians, so the certificate you download is the one your renewal actually needs.

New York plays by its own CE rules

Most CE you'll find online is approved by APA, ASWB, or NBCC. For a New York license, that approval doesn't carry. Here's the bar you actually have to clear each triennial:
  • CE must come from a NYSED-approved provider — national approvals don't transfer
  • 36 hours every three years
  • 3 hours of professional ethics, covering New York law and regulations specifically
  • 3 hours of professional boundaries, mandatory since April 2023
